tour de fleece day 3

it’s day 3 and i’m feeling pretty good!..even though i got a late start again today..but i did hit my 4 oz goal!

3 pm i started carding batts

and around 6pm i started spinning.. got these yarns..

the pink one is corespun and mainly bulky i’d say..

the green is mine and will become a blanket square.. the purple/pink/brown was made to match 2 yarns i spun last year.. i needed more yardage

I also plied what i spun yesterday..wasn’t too happy with the angle of the twist i was getting..but i’ll live

and now my knee hurts so i’ll prob focus on spindling tomorrow.. its time to rest!

tdf day 2

last night i stayed up fairly late as i have been doing.. so i started spindling more of the norweigan top.. which is a double duty project as i’m going to use it for a laceweight singles sal in spinner central on ravelry..

I got on the wheel at 3pm and spun until 7..which only ended up being a little over one bobbin worth

I also watched the tour de france for the first time ever! it was kinda nice.. good to spin to..
hoping to knock out 4 more ounces tomorrow

the tour de fleece

I’m spinning for the tour de fleece on ravelry.. i thought today would be a bust cause i was going out for 4th of july celebrations..but i ended up spinning for a good part of 5 hours.. maybe an ounce of this norwegian wool top that i dyed

i finally have some pictures..mostly of what i’ve been working on and some i already talked about

today i also dyed some tops..about half of them i’ll end up spinning..but i got quite a bit more to dye.. i’m going to try to tackle those during the week.

i want to get some really bright shades..i’ll have to experiment..so that will be fun

i carded a set of batts today which i am now just remembering i need pictures of.. darnit

i’m glad i got a few things done..
snapped some pics of yarn that will be listed tomorrow, started a single for a 2 ply, got some yarn set and drying

tomorrow i HAVE to start dyeing tops..i haven’t listed any new ones in a long time

and now i must go to bed or i’ll be too tired for my “real” job..ugh

these titles never get better

ya see? i’m already getting lazy with this blog..
i need to get on the ball with more dyeing..of course now i think i’m getting sick..woke up with a sore throat.

le sigh

i’m happy though that i did get some spinning done today.. 3 yarns under 2 oz. they will most likely be used for my handspun blanket.

and i also used one of the horrible rovings i dyed on saturday to make some cutie batts

hoooooopefully i’ll get a chance to do some dyeing tomorrow..at the very least i plan on taking pictures so i can list a few yarns.
